BLAZE BONGA FAQ

This is a service which enables you to pay your bills at select Lipa Na M-PESA merchants using your Bonga points.
To check how many points you will need to pay your bill, dial *555#, select, 'Lipa Na Bonga', then select 'Bonga Calculator'. You will be requested to put in the amount you want to pay. You will get a response showing the number of points you will need to pay your bill.
To check where to redeem your bonga points, dial *555# select, 'BLAZE Bonga Deals', then select 'view current deals.'. You will be directed to the BLAZE website with the full list of vendors.
To redeem your Bonga Points, simply dial *555# and select “BLAZE Bonga Deals “ then select ‘Redeem with BLAZE’ You will be asked to enter the Till No, the amount you want to pay and your service PIN.
To check your Bonga Points, simply dial *555# and select "My Bonga Balance". You will receive an SMS notification with details of your Bonga account balance.
You will need to confirm at the outlet they can accept.
No, there are no extra charges. Only the Bonga Points value of the bill you are paying will be deducted from your Bonga balance when you redeem.
If you have put in a lower amount, you may redeem more points to cater for the difference. If you have keyed in a larger amount, you will need to contact Customer care for them to initiate the reversal. You will receive a confirmation SMS once the points are reversed to your account.
Confirm that the number you are using has been successfully registered, and that age of the SIM Card owner is 26 years and below. If the above is in order, then contact the blaze customer care on BlazeKenya on Facebook or Twitter.
Yes they will. The existing terms for Bonga apply.
The partner/ vendor will get a transaction ID message once the transaction is successful (similar to Lipa Na Mpesa transaction messages). To confirm your transaction, the vendor will request you to confirm your transaction ID number – as this is what they will use to compare with the Transaction ID number they have received. All payments paid using Bonga points will go to the vendor with the sender ID of ‘Lipa Na Mpesa’
For any reversals, the normal reversal process for Lipa Na Mpesa takes place.
The customer should request for a reversal by contacting us on Facebook on ‘BlazeKenya’ and Twitter on ‘Blazekenya’. If you have sufficient points, you can initiate another transaction for the correct amount- while reversal of the first erroneous transaction is being done.
The BLAZE Bonga transaction will only be completed successfully if you have sufficient points in your account for the cash amount being redeemed.
This is possible, but is at the discretion of the vendor. Please confirm from the vendor if they are comfortable with you splitting the bill payment with cash & Bonga.
