eMobilis is a 6-year Technology Training Institute, duly registered with the Ministry of Education Science and Technology. To date, they have trained over 5,000 students; 65% of them on scholarships funded through industry collaborations. Their vision is to empower local youth to tap into the myriad opportunities that the mobile, software development and ICT industry offers, so that they can innovate, create and improve their situation in life through use of digital tools. Their programs range from Boot Camps conducted at JKUAT and University of Nairobi to Windows Phone, Android, HTML5 and USSD courses offered at their facility to students from across Kenya and from as far away as Zambia and Rwanda.

 eMobilis is also the co-founder of m:lab East Africa- one of 5 pioneering Regional Mobile Laboratories globally. It was involved in co-staging Pivot East, the largest Mobile Developer Conference and Competition in East Africa.

 At eMobilis they offer 3-4 month, practical, entrepreneurship-oriented mobile technology training courses and merit scholarships. They employ highly competent and experienced lecturers who are developers themselves, as well as experts in deploying the best practice mobile training modules. Their students are sought after and employed by technology companies such as IBM, Safaricom, DSTV Mobile, Virtual City and Craft Silicon.

 They also offer corporate customized trainings. Some of their clients include: KEMRI CDC Kisumu, Kenya Defence Force, Coca Cola and APHRC among others. Being the first of a kind in Sub Saharan Africa, they hope to create a recognized powerhouse centre, that bridges the existing knowledge gap and provides entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for indigenous talent.
